Phantom Gourmet: Assembly Square Restaurants
SOMERVILLE (CBS) - The city of Somerville is attracting the attention of foodies. Dan Andelman of the Phantom Gourmet tours some of the most popular restaurants in the revitalized Assembly Square.
Earl's Kitchen and Bar serves over 2,000 customers a day at Assembly Row in Somerville. The globally-inspired menu features everything from sushi to barbecue, all prepared in a super-sized open kitchen.
Another popular spot in Assembly Square, Burger Dive, blends together thick creamy milkshakes and deep fries all kinds of sides in an open industrial space. Their third-pound burgers are piled high with everything from pickles and potato chips to fried eggs.
For something more upscale, Fuji at Assembly specializes in Chinese style wok-tossed dishes and intricate, exciting sushi from Chef Jimmy Liang.
Assembly Row also has Paul Bakery from France, Ernesto's Pizza from the North End and J.P. Licks for ice cream.
