PawSox Hosting 'Free Brady Friday' In Support Of Patriots Quarterback
BOSTON (CBS) -- "Free Tom Brady" has become a regular rallying cry around Fenway Park this spring, and it's now the theme of an entire night in the home of the Red Sox' Triple-A affiliate.
The Pawtucket Red Sox announced that they will be hosting "Free Brady Friday" on June 10 at McCoy Stadium, welcoming anybody named "Tom" or "Brady" into the ballpark for free to see the PawSox take on the Louisville Bats.
"Tom Brady is one of the region's most beloved athletes and public figures," PawSox senior VP/general manager Dan Rea said in the team's announcement. "This evening allows PawSox fans, so many of whom are Patriots fans, to show their support for him."
The prices for box seats that night will also drop from $13 to $12, in honor of Brady's jersey number.
It's all, of course, related to Brady's ongoing fight against the NFL and commissioner Roger Goodell, whose four-game suspension of the quarterback was recently reinstated by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Brady is currently seeking a rehearing.
