Sales From Nike's New England Patriots Sneakers To Benefit Boys And Girls Club
BOSTON (CBS) – Patriots owner Robert Kraft is known for his choice in footwear. Now, fans can pull off a similar look while also contributing to a local charity.
The Patriots and Nike are teaming up for the third straight year to sell sneakers with the team logo, with proceeds benefiting the Boys and Girls Club of Boston.
A throwback Patriots logo is stitched onto the tongue of the shoes, while "We are all Patriots" is sewn on the insole.
Kraft attended a launch party for the shoes on Thursday night, and they went on sale Friday morning for $150 a pair.
The Patriots owner hopes to raise $500,000 through sneaker sales.
