Edelman Returns To Practice Field Day After Leaving With Foot Injury
BOSTON (CBS) -- That was a collective sigh of relief you just heard from the Foxboro area.
As the Patriots took the field for Wednesday's joint practice with the New Orleans Saints, they were joined by receiver Julian Edelman. The Patriots receiver caused quite the scare Tuesday when he walked off the field after suffering an injury to his surgically repaired left foot.

This practice has reached its merciful conclusion. Edelman participated in an early walkthrough portion before running full-speed sprints.

Reports on Tuesday indicated that the injury was not serious, and Edelman's return to the field further drives that home. But expect the Patriots to take a much more cautious approach with Edelman the rest of training camp and in the preseason, given his history of foot injuries.
Unfortunately for Edelman and the Patriots, it's raining in Foxboro for Wednesday's session. So maybe Julian should take it easy on the wet field.
