Patriots Injury Report: Sheard, Cannon Missing From Tuesday's Walkthrough

BOSTON (CBS) -- The New England Patriots held another walkthrough Tuesday as they prepare for a meeting with the Miami Dolphins on Thursday Night Football.

That means New England will not have a padded practice before Thursday night's showdown. But that may be a good thing.

Three Patriots were missing from Tuesday's session: offensive lineman Marcus Cannon (toe), linebacker Rufus Johnson (illness) and defensive end Jabaal Sheard (ankle). The trio missed Sunday's game against the Jets, and it is very unlikely they'll play against Miami.

Running backs Brandon Bolden (hamstring) and Dion Lewis (abdomen), wide receiver Keshawn Martin (hamstring) and guard Shaq Mason (knee) were all limited on Tuesday. Both Lewis and Martin missed Sunday's game, but looked poised to return despite the short work.

Also on the Patriots' practice report on Tuesday, defensive lineman Trey Flowers (knee/shoulder), linebacker Dont'a Hightower (ribs) and guard Josh Kline (shoulder) were full participants.
