Patriots Injury Report: Hightower Doubtful; Butler, Gronkowski, Solder Among Nine Questionable

BOSTON (CBS) -- The Patriots' final injury report in preparation for Sunday's Week 2 matchup with the Miami Dolphins includes quite a few big names.

Linebacker Dont'a Hightower was listed as doubtful after missing practice all week due to a knee injury. Cornerback Malcolm Butler, tight end Rob Gronkowski, receiver Chris Hogan and tackle Nate Solder headline the list of nine players listed as questionable. Also on that list are Marcus Cannon, Jonathan Cooper, Trey Flowers, Shaq Mason and Shea McClellin.

Cornerback Eric Rowe was listed as out due to an ankle injury.

Under the new guidelines, "doubtful" simply means  unlikely to play, while "questionable" vaguely means "uncertain as to whether the player will play." So you can expect a number of game-time decisions come Sunday afternoon.

As for the Dolphins, center Mike Pouncey was declared out with a hip injury, while eight players were listed as questionable. That list includes running back Arian Foster, tight end Jordan Cameron, receiver DeVante Parker and defensive end Mario Williams.
