Patriots Injury Report: Shilique Calhoun Misses Practice With Illness; Six Players Limited On Thursday

BOSTON (CBS) -- After a day off on Wednesday, the Patriots were back on the practice field in full pads on Thursday as they prepare for their Week 17 matchup with the Miami Dolphins.

Only one player was missing from Thursday's session: Shilique Calhoun. The edge rusher was did not participate due to an illness.

Calhoun has suited up for all but one game this season, spending most of his time on special teams and as a situational pass rusher. He has recorded nine tackles and three QB hits for the season.

The Patriots didn't practice on Wednesday, but they listed six players as limited on their hypothetical practice report. Those same six players were limited on Thursday:

LB Ja'Whaun Bentley, Knee
OT Marcus Cannon, Ankle
LB Jamie Collins, Shoulder
WR Julian Edelman, Knee/Shoulder
CB Jonathan Jones, Groin
CB Jason McCourty, Groin

Jones missed last week's win over the Bills, while McCourty and Cannon didn't finish the game. We'll get a clearer picture on their status for Sunday's finale against the Dolphins when the Pats hold their final practice of the week on Friday.

The 12-3 Patriots host the 4-11 Dolphins on Sunday, and can clinch the No. 2 seed in the AFC and a first-round bye in the playoffs with a victory.
