Patrice Bergeron Wins NHL 15 Cover Vote
BOSTON (CBS) -- The hockey world has spoken, and they have chosen Patrice Bergeron to grace the cover of the upcoming video game NHL 15.
Patrice Bergeron beat out P.K. Subban in a vote that dominated Twitter for weeks at a time back in May.

The video game, which promises a whole array of new features, will be released on Sept. 9.
A Bruins player hasn't graced the cover of an NHL video game since Andy Moog appeared on the NHL '94 cover.
Subban campaigned hard for votes during the voting period, an advantage which Bergeron did not have due to his lack of Twitter account. But the official Bruins Twitter account, @NHLBruins, helped even the gap by tweeting out "#NHL15Bergeron" as often as possible.
In addition to voting via Twitter, fans had the option of voting on the game's official website as well as EA Sports' Instagram account.
Bergeron advanced to the finals by earning more votes than Ottawa's Erik Karlsson in the first round and St. Louis' T.J. Oshie in the second round. Subban advanced to the finals by earning more votes than Toronto's Phil Kessel in the first round and Los Angeles' Drew Doughty in the second round.
Bergeron thanked the fans for all their votes when voting closed after June 1.
