Patrice Bergeron Out Of Bruins Lineup Versus Minnesota
BOSTON (CBS) – Patrice Bergeron doesn't fight often. The reason why will be obvious on Saturday when the Bruins take the ice against the Minnesota Wild.
Head coach Claude Julien announced before Saturday's matinee game in Minnesota that Bergeron will not be in the lineup.
Bergeron dropped the gloves against Blake Wheeler in Winnipeg on Thursday night.
His ice time was limited the rest of the game following the fight, though Bergeron did score his second goal of the team's 6-2 win.
Bergeron missed Friday's practice for what Julien called a maintenance day, but his absence will continue into the weekend.
The Bruins will be without Bergeron for Saturday's game, which starts at 2 p.m.
