Officials Identify Body Found In Burning Car In Worcester

WORCESTER (AP) — Officials have identified a woman whose body was found in a burning car in Worcester last month.

Worcester County District Attorney Joseph Early on Friday said the victim was 35-year-old Marie Martin of Webster.

Martin's body was found in the burning car on Swan Avenue Nov. 4. Early said no other information is available and the investigation continues.

Martin's family in Uxbridge declined to comment to The Telegram & Gazette. Matthew Biuso, the father of Martin's young daughter, told the newspaper she was a "very beautiful woman" who loved her child.

A 40-year old Worcester man has been charged with misleading investigators in the case. Thomas Hogan pleaded not guilty last month.

Martin's body was found near Hogan's residence. No one has been charged in her death.
