Brockton Ocean State Job Lot employee charged after allegedly shooting knife-wielding customer

BROCKTON – An Ocean State Job Lot employee was taken into custody Monday, a day after police say he shot a knife-wielding customer inside the chain's Brockton location. The customer is also now faces charges.

It happened around noon on Sunday.

Investigators say 26-year-old Brandon Theodat pulled a knife during an argument with an employee, 18-year-old Khamani Anderson. 

That's when Anderson allegedly responded with gunfire.

On Sunday, police said they knew who the shooter was, but they were looking for him. A day later, Brockton police said the male employee turned himself in and was taken into custody without incident.

Anderson is facing charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, possession of a loaded firearm during a felony, and improper storage of a firearm.

Theodat, who was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries, is charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, disturbing the peace, disorderly conduct, and default warrant.
