Northeastern Protesters Block Huntington Ave. Green Line Tracks

BOSTON (CBS) – A group of Northeastern University protesters blocked the Green Line tracks on Huntington Ave. on Tuesday afternoon.

The protesters were rallying in an attempt to get better wages for adjunct professors.

Demonstrators gathered around 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday and moved through the Ruggles station before congregating in the middle the Huntington Ave. tracks, blocking both directions.

The MBTA temporarily stopped E Branch trains between the Prudential Center and Heath Street during the protest.

The group moved off the tracks and left the area at about 2:15 p.m.

Police responded to the area of the protest, but did not appear to make any arrests.
