NH Teen Wearing Uniform And Gun Charged With Impersonating Officer

MERRIMACK, N.H. (CBS) – New Hampshire State Police arrested a teenager for impersonating a police officer after he allegedly left an ice cream stand wearing a police jacket with a gun on his hip.

Police said that Wednesday at about 11:30 a.m. 19-year-old Chance LaCasse was seen leaving the King Kone ice cream stand in Merrimack in a blue Ford Explorer.

Witnesses said he was dressed as a police officer, wearing a police jacket with New Hampshire State Police patches on the sleeves.

In addition, LaCasse allegedly had a handgun visible on his hip.

The Merrimack Police Department identified LaCasse as a resident of their town.

He was found a short time later in the area of Bedford Road.

State police said LaCasse was arrested and charged with impersonating a police officer.
