New Species Of Wasp Named After Tuukka Rask
BOSTON (CBS) - Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask is now on an exclusive list and it has nothing to with hockey.
A newly discovered species of wasp from East Africa is being named after him.
One of the entomologists who found the wasp is from Newton and he is a big Boston sports fan.
Robert Copeland told the Boston Globe he wanted to name the wasp, Thaumatodryinus tuukkaraski, after Rask because of the goalie's outstanding career in one of the most difficult positions in sports.
"That's funny. That's pretty neat," Rask told the paper.
