N.H. High School Dismissed Early Due To Bomb Threat
DURHAM, N.H. (AP) — A New Hampshire superintendent says students were dismissed early at a high school after a bomb threat was found written on a bathroom wall.
Superintendent Jim Morse says Oyster River High School in Durham was dismissed at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. Morse tells Foster's Daily Democrat (http://bit.ly/2g6bi6I) the threat was specific to Tuesday afternoon; he did not provide further details.
Durham Police Deputy Chief Rene Kelley confirmed the bomb threat and said police are investigating. A bomb detector dog was expected to do a sweep and police were reviewing security images of the hallway to see who went into the bathroom.
Democratic Gov. Maggie Hassan issued a statement saying state public safety, emergency management and education officials are closely monitoring the situation.
