Magnitude 2.9 Earthquake Felt Near Concord, New Hampshire

HOPKINTON, N.H. (AP) — The U.S. Geological Survey says a magnitude-2.9 earthquake has been measured 4 miles northwest of the village of Contoocook, New Hampshire.

Residents in Hopkinton, Concord, Canterbury, Bow, Dunbarton and other towns reported feeling a rumble or a loud noise Monday morning.

The U.S. Geological Survey recorded the quake at 9:18 a.m.

There were no immediate reports of injuries.
