New App Allows Boston Drivers To Pay For Parking On Smartphone

BOSTON (CBS) - Parking at a metered space just got smarter in Boston. The city has a new app that allows drivers to pay for parking without physically feeding the meter or parking kiosk.

The app is called Park Boston. By entering your vehicle's license plate and your credit/debit card information, you can pay for your parking fee with just a few clicks on your smartphone.

Drivers just need to enter the zone number of the nearest meter or parking kiosk.

Drivers can also pay for more time on the app, so they don't have to run to the car before the meter expires.

However, parking rules still apply. So a two hour limit means you'll have to move your car.
