Buses are running on a regular weekday schedule, but delays are expected.

Commuter rail trains are running on what the T calls a "modified" schedule Monday and passengers are being told to expect delays and cancellations.

A spokesman for Keolis, which operates the commuter rail, said passengers are experiencing delays of up to 45 minutes and very crowded trains on some lines. Some trains are so packed that they have to pull away from stations without picking up riders, the spokesman said.

Ferry service is back to normal.

General Manager Beverly Scott, who had estimated it could take a month to restore the system, said the latest restorations are a "major step."
