Napoli Out, Pedroia Batting Leadoff For Red Sox In Chicago
BOSTON (CBS) -- Red Sox first baseman Mike Napoli will miss Wednesday night's game against White Sox, but second baseman Dustin Pedroia will return to the lineup and bad leadoff in Chicago.
This will be Pedroia's first start since Saturday after he missed two games with a sore left wrist. He pinch-ran for Napoli on Tuesday night after the Sox slugger dislocated his finger sliding head-first into second base in the ninth inning.
Pedroia has hit leadoff in 91 games during his career, going 98-for-374 (.262 average) with 29 doubles and 59 runs scored.
