Motorized Scooter Spotted On Orange Line Train

BOSTON (CBS) – One commuter's ride needed a ride.

And the MBTA took notice.

MBTA Transit Police shared a photo on Twitter of a man who loaded his motorized scooter onto a train.

The photo, which Transit police said was taken by Kate Sosin, shows the man sitting on the large bike. Sosin tweeted that she took the photo on an Orange Line outbound train.

Based on a tweet sent out by Transit Police, they weren't too excited about the oversized cargo.

"#MBTA Etiquette: Buddy we need to talk!!!!!!" Transit police tweeted.

Transit police tell WBZ-TV that they believe the incident happened after rush hour Friday morning and are trying to figure out which station the rider used to board the T. No calls or complaints were made about the rider, and transit police said they didn't know about the scooter until receiving the photo.

If the rider had been caught, police say he would have been told to continue riding on his scooter instead of the train.
