Three suspects arrested after chase ends in crash in Georgetown

GEORGETOWN - A chase on I-95 led to a crash and the arrest of three suspects Tuesday in Georgetown.

State Police said they tried to pull over a Dodge with Florida plates for several traffic violations, including trying to race other vehicles. The suspects took off, and police chased after the vehicle on I-95 north in Boxford. 

The driver crashed while attempting to take the Route 133 ramp in Georgetown. Two of the three people in the car fled into the woods.

Georgetown police received a 911 call from a resident reporting people in the woods behind their home. Police responded and arrested the suspects.

State Police say the driver of the vehicle, 21-year-old Gregory Marmolejo of Lynn, will be arraigned on charges including street racing, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and failure to stop for police.

The two passengers in the car, 20-year-old Abel Severino Reyes, and 21-year-old David Garcia, both of Lynn, will be charged with disorderly conduct and trespassing.

No injuries were reported in the crash.
