LOWELL (CBS) -- A mother and daughter suffered minor injuries after their car crashed into a utility pole and house in Lowell late Sunday morning, according to the Lowell Sun.

The crash happened on Pawtucket Boulevard around 11:15 a.m.

The pole appeared to be snapped in half after being struck by the green sedan, as it was held up by the line of a nearby pole.

The homeowner told the Lowell Sun the car only tapped the house.

He also told the newspaper it was at least the third time his property has been damaged by a car.

Police told WBZ neither the driver or passenger were seriously hurt.

They were taken to an area hospital.

The pole has been repaired, and the road was reopened, police said.
