Middleboro Police Respond To 2 Deadly Weekend Crashes

MIDDLEBORO (AP) — A small Massachusetts town is dealing with two unexpected deaths of residents over the weekend.

A 25-year-old Middleborough man died Saturday night after crashing his motorcycle, Middleborough police said in a statement attributed to Chief Joseph Perkins. Investigators think speed was a factor.

The man's Harley-Davidson crashed at about 10:45 p.m., police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His name wasn't immediately made public pending notification of family.

His death came less than a day after a 49-year-old resident died when the all-terrain vehicle he was operating crashed into a cranberry bog at about 12:40 a.m. Saturday.

Both deaths are under investigation.
