Media Gets Smile From Bill Belichick With Onesie For Granddaugther
BOSTON (CBS) -- There was a surprise waiting for Bill Belichick on Wednesday, one that even got a rare smile from the Patriots head coach.
As Belichick took the podium for his press conference at Gillette Stadium, there was a gift waiting for him. It was a onesie for his new granddaugther, Blakely Rose, whose arrival he happily announced on his Tuesday conference call.
"Look at this. How cute," the coach said as he held it up. "Is this from everybody or just somebody special?"
The gift from reporters got a big smile from the coach, but then it was back to business as usual. Belichick quickly turned his attention to the Pittsburgh Steelers, who the Patriots will play Sunday at Heinz Field.
But if you're ever looking for a way to get a grin off the usually-gruff Belichick, go with baby clothes.
