MBTA Spokesperson: Cannabis Company T Ads Still Under Review

BOSTON (CBS) -- A school that offers career training in the cannabis industry says it's launching the first ever ad campaign to run on the MBTA commuter rail lines to educate the public on cannabis. But an MBTA spokesperson says it's not true.

The Northeastern Institute of Cannabis, based in Natick, unveiled its "We Teach. You Grow" campaign, to publicize its 12-week career course. A public statement released by the Institute stated the ads would run at T stations in Framingham, Downtown Crossing, and on the Red and Orange lines.

An MBTA spokesperson told WBZ-TV the company's request for an ad on the transit system is still under review.
