Mazz: Yankees Will Finish Ahead Of Red Sox In 2014
BOSTON (CBS) - While the Red Sox were parading through Boston on duckboats, the division rival Yankees were plotting ways to become not only relevant, but a contender once again.
They have done just that.
After signing outfielders Jacoby Ellsbury and Carlos Beltran, and winning the bidding war for Japanese pitching phenom Masahiro Tanaka, Tony Massarotti feels like the Bronx Bombers are poised to finish ahead of the hometown Red Sox this upcoming season.
There's no denying that the Red Sox have better prospects in their farm system compared to the Yankees, so you'd much rather be a Boston fan over the next ten years. However, Mazz thinks for this year anyway that New York will win more games.
Do you agree with Tony? Were the Red Sox too passive this offseason? Weigh in below in the comments section!
