2 Shot And Killed In Mattapan Neighborhood

BOSTON (CBS) – Two people were shot and killed late Saturday night in Mattapan. The shootings happened around 11 p.m. on Violet Street.
The victims, men in their late 40s, were taken to area hospitals but did not survive. Their identities have not yet been released.
Neighbors told WBZ-TV they woke up to the sound of gunfire then heard police sirens.
Just about a half a mile down the road, a shooting left a 74-year-old woman dead last week.
Boston Police said no arrests have been made. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
