Man Killed In Broad Daylight Shooting In Mattapan
BOSTON (CBS) -- A man has died after a shooting in Mattapan mid-morning on Tuesday.
Boston police said the shooting occurred around 10:40 a.m. inside a house on Evelyn Street.
The victim is a man who appeared to be in his 30's, said police. He was taken to Boston Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the upper torso and later pronounced deceased.
His identity has not been released.
The shooting does not appear to be random.
"Parties are known to each other, allegedly, and at this time it's still an active investigation," said Boston Police Superintendent in Chief William Gross.
