MassDOT Urges Drivers To Vote Xander Bogaerts To All-Star Game

BOSTON (CBS) – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation is hoping to help Xander Bogaerts earn a trip to the MLB All-Star Game next week.

The Red Sox shortstop is among four American League players fans can send to the game by voting online.

The message "#XforASG Vote Xander To The All-Star Game" began appearing on information boards on Mass. highways Thursday.

Governor Charlie Baker approved of the message. "Love that @MassDOT is on board with supporting Xander Bogaerts!" the governor wrote on his Twitter account.

Voting ends Friday at 4 p.m.
