Massachusetts Gas Prices Dip To Lowest Level Since 2009

BOSTON (AP) — Massachusetts drivers are paying the lowest prices for gasoline in more than six years.

That's according to AAA Northeast, which reported Monday that the average price in the Bay State for self-serve, regular unleaded gasoline now stands at $2.04 per gallon, down two cents from a week ago.

It's the lowest average price of the year and the lowest since the spring of 2009.

Massachusetts is 3 cents above the current national average of $2.01 per gallon.

The AAA Northeast survey showed prices around the state ranging from as low as $1.92 to a high of $2.49 per gallon.
