Massachusetts Gas Prices Drop 6 Cents Per Gallon

BOSTON (AP) — The average cost of a gallon of gas in Massachusetts has dropped 6 cents in the past week, and is now down 20 cents in the past month.

AAA Northeast announced Tuesday that self-serve, regular is selling for an average of $2.52 per gallon.

That price is 6 cents less than the national average and 98 cents lower than the in-state price a year ago.

AAA found wide range of prices, from a low of $2.25 per gallon to a high of $3.05 for self-serve, regular.

AAA says with near-term oversupplies in the global oil market the savings at the pump are expected to continue.
