Mass. Gas Prices 40 Cents Lower Than A Year Ago

BOSTON (AP) — The new year couldn't slow down falling Massachusetts gas prices.

AAA Northeast said Monday its latest price survey found that self-serve, regular has fallen another 2 cents in the past week, to an average of $1.96 per gallon.

That's 3 cents per gallon below the national average and 40 cents lower than the in-state price a year ago.

AAA found self-serve, regular selling for as little as $1.83 per gallon and as high as $2.29.
