State Police Locate Owner Of Marine Uniform Found In Holden

HOLDEN (CBS) -- Massachusetts State Police found the owner of a Marine uniform that was spotted on the side of the road in Holden.
They shared a photo of the uniform on social media, saying a trooper found the uniform in a garment bag Tuesday afternoon on the side of Main Street near the Rutland town line.
Police said they believed the uniform likely belongs to a Marine with the rank of corporal. It was found in good condition with a rifle qualification badge and several ribbons.
Thursday afternoon, police updated that the owner had contacted them.
A Facebook post by State Police was shared more than 6,000 times before the owner was found.
