NH Business Owner Attacked During Armed Robbery

MANCHESTER, N.H. (CBS) – A New Hampshire business owner says he was attacked and robbed at gunpoint on Thursday. The victim ran into a pizza shop nearby, bleeding from the head. Police are still searching for a suspect.

Police had their guns drawn as they approached the nutrition shop in Manchester where the owner reported a man with a gun demanded money and hit him.

Workers at Pizza Express, who have known the victim for years, were shocked by the frantic story. "He had just got robbed and the guy had a gun," said Sarah LeClair, the manager of Pizza Express.

"They sat him down and immediately called 911," said Scott Kinney, another friend of the victim.

Kinney happened to pass by after. As police now try to figure out what, if anything was stolen and how the attacker got away.

"I consider it a safe area," said Kinney. "Second Street in general is a safe area."

That feeling of safety, now shaken. Catholic Medical Center says the victim is in stable condition.

Police are now looking for a white man, about 5'7" with a medium build. He was wearing dark clothes at the time. Witnesses saw a dark-colored pickup truck leave here before police arrived.
