Remorseful Robber Arrested After Returning Stolen Money To NH Store
MANCHESTER, N.H. (CBS) – A man who allegedly robbed a New Hampshire store with a sharp object returned several hours later to return the money he had stolen.
Manchester Police said someone robbed Stop-N-Go on Massabesic Street just after noon on Tuesday with what was described as a "sharp stone."
Just before 7 p.m., the store's night clerk called police to report that the suspect had returned.
The clerk said the man, identified as Carlos Reyes, was crying when he came back to the store to return the cash he had gotten away with.
After viewing surveillance photos from the earlier robbery, police arrested Reyes and charged him with robbery.
Reyes was scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday.
