Police Look For Man Who Took A Photo Of Woman In Target Changing Room
HANOVER (CBS) -- Police are searching for a man they believe took a picture of a woman trying on clothes in a changing room.
The incident happened in the Target on Washington Street in Hanover.
Hanover police released pictures of their suspect on Friday, the same day as the incident.
Officials said they were treating the incident as an assault case.
The man is described as a tall, white man of medium build.
Local shoppers were concerned when they found out what happened.
"People can not only take video of you but it's what they can do with it afterward that I would even be more concerned about. With social media and things that they can put up online," a woman said.
One shopper said, "Penalties should be a little bit stiffer when people do that, specifically with cell phones and technology, because of that fact, because it can expand to other things which can be harmful."
"It's very concerning to me. The privacy. And especially if women typically do the shopping with young children, it also puts children in danger and they see that and it's not morally appropriate," another added.
According to officials, the man was able to take the picture over the top of the changing room.
He then left in a white car.
