Man Allegedly Steals Elderly Woman's Purse While At Church
MANCHESTER, N.H. (CBS) -- A New Hampshire man has been arrested after allegedly stealing the purse of an 87-year-old woman while she was attending church.
Steve Doiron, 27, of Manchester, reportedly entered the First Congressional Church on Union Street halfway through Sunday service on July 12. He allegedly stole the purse from the pew while the woman was standing during the service.
Police say Doiron ran away when witnesses tried to confront him. The purse was found in a bathroom stall but the woman's house keys, car keys and cash were missing.
Police followed leads and arrested Doiron at his apartment days later.
