Malden Police Seek Suspect In Violent Attack Caught On Camera
MALDEN (CBS) – Security cameras captured an assault in Malden over the weekend, and police are hoping to track down the man seen in the video responsible for the beating.
A 23-year-old man was attacked on Highland Ave. around 3:20 a.m. on Saturday, but police said he was not seriously hurt.
The victim was walking by another man in the area when the two exchanged words. That's when police said the suspect chased the man and a struggle took place in the parking lot of an area business.
Video shows that the two struggled for more than one minute when the suspect allegedly took the victim's iPhone and ran from the area.
Malden police describe the suspect as white, 25-to-30 years old. He is about six-feet tall and was wearing a dark sweatshirt at the time of the assault.
