Maine Police Video Captures Transformers Sparking During Storm
WELLS, Maine (CBS) -- Police in Maine captured some electrifying video along the coast early Tuesday morning as storms rolled through New England.
Waves crashed into transformers during high tide, causing sparks that lit up the night sky. Wells Police Sgt. Allen Wilson recorded the wild scene on his cruiser camera has he patrolled for damage in the area.
"The light from the transformers sparking is quite stunning," police said on Facebook. "If you are in the area, please be safe and stay indoors!!!"
Several areas were left without power and police reported flooding along Webhannet Drive.
