Macklemore, Madonna and Queen Latifah Marry 33 Couples at the GRAMMYs

It was a big night for Macklemore & Ryan Lewis before they even took home one of their many GRAMMYs. At the pre-telecast ceremony, the duo picked up awards for Best Rap Album and Best Rap Song, before taking home awards during the televised show for Best New Artist and Best Rap Performance. But it was their moving performance that proved to be the highlight of the rookie duo's night.

Earlier in the day, they were the subject of a major discussion online, as the New York Times reported that they would be joined by Madonna and Queen Latifah for their live rendition of "Same Love." Moreover, 34 couples, including some same-sex couples, would be married during the performance of the gay marriage equality anthem.

33 couples made it to the GRAMMY stage, officiated by Queen Latifah (a certified minister in California), who pronounced the couples married after a very short ceremony prefaced by the "Same Love" performance.
