Lowell Police: Loud Music Leads To Machete Threat, Arrest
LOWELL (CBS) -- A 48-year-old Lowell man has been charged with several felonies after allegedly showing a machete and threatening to decapitate his neighbor if they didn't turn down the music on Sunday, according to the Lowell Sun.
The incident happened around 5 p.m. on 10th Street.
Officers spoke with Michael Leone and while talking with him, they spotted a .22 caliber rifle leaning against a wall inside the home, as well as a 30-round magazine for the rifle, police told the newspaper. A machete was also allegedly found in the home, the Sun reports.
The Sun reported that Leone was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon (machete), threatening to commit a crime (murder), unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a large capacity feeding device, and improper storage of a firearm.
He will be arraigned on Monday in Lowell District Court.
