Motorcyclist Killed After Crashing Into Guardrail In Lowell

LOWELL (AP) — A motorcyclist has died after crashing into a guardrail on the Lowell Connector.

Massachusetts State Police responded to the crash around 11:30 a.m. Sunday.

A preliminary investigation indicates the operator of the motorcycle, a 21-year-old man from Brockton, lost control of his vehicle, causing him to crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police haven't released the man's identity.

The crash remains under investigation, but speed appears to have been a factor.

A second motorcyclist who was traveling with the victim remained at the scene. No other injuries were reported.

No further details were immediately available.
