Lowell Man Allegedly Confronts Firefighter With Butcher Knife
LOWELL (CBS) -- A Lowell man is under arrest after allegedly confronting a Lowell firefighter with a butcher knife.
Police say the firefighter was sitting in his vehicle near Garnet and Appleton Streets shortly before midnight on Monday when 26-year-old Shawn Lefevbre approached him with a knife.
The firefighter was investigating several arson fires that occurred in the area.
The firefighter drove off and called police who found and arrested Lefevbre.
He faces an assault charge.
