Loose Horse Corralled At Gas Station

EAST BRIDGEWATER (CBS) -- Police corralled a horse at an East Bridgewater gas station over the weekend after it got loose from its pen.

Reports of a horse running down the road Saturday evening drew officers to Washington Street, police said. The horse was found in a Cumberland Farms parking lot near the gas pumps.

Police shut down Washington Street so cruisers could safely escort the horse back to its pen.

The owner told police that apparently, a gate latch got loose, allowing the horse to run free.

The horse did not appear to suffer any injuries.
