Mid-Atlantic Blizzard Causes Logan Airport Cancellations

BOSTON (CBS) – Though Boston will likely be spared the full force of a blizzard currently hitting the mid-Atlantic region, the snow is still having an impact at Logan Airport.

As of Saturday evening, Massport reported more than 200 flights leaving from and arriving at Logan Airport have been canceled.

Much of New England will receive only minimal snow during the Saturday storm, though parts of Cape Cod and southern New England will be hit harder.

Parts of the mid-Atlantic region, including Washington D.C., are expected to see several feet of snow.

Anyone traveling this weekend is encouraged to check their flight status online before leaving for Logan Airport.
