Lexington Fire also responded to a fire on Tufts Road that was caused by a lightning strike. No one was injured but the home suffered extensive damage.

"The first thing I heard was just a loud bang. Then the house shook," said Allen Jin, who lives in the home with his parents. "When we opened the attic door, there was just fire everywhere."

"It sounded like a big explosion, one single explosion with a bright light lit and then we heard nothing," a neighbor said.

The neighbor tells WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Carl Stevens that the family had just completed extensive work on the home.
