Roads closed following significant flooding in Leominster
LEOMINSTER – As a result of significant flooding in Leominster, several roads in the city area closed.
Leominster is under a state of emergency and people who live in some low-lying areas are being asked to evacuate.
Mayor Dean Mazzarella posted a list of road closures. They include:
- McKay and Washington Street - Use caution due to sinkhole
- Arlington Street and Notre Dame Street - Down to one lane
- Exchange Street and Colonial Drive - Closed
- Lancaster Street and Malburn Terrace - Closed
- Main Street and Hamilton Street - Closed
- Mechanic Street and Water Street - Closed
- North Main Street and Priest Street - Closed
- Pleasant Street and Pond Street - Closed
- Wachusett Street and Elm Street - Closed
- Marguerite Ave. and Central Street - Closed
People in low-lying areas near Barrett Park Pond Dam are being asked to evacuate.
