Lawrence Building Collapse Prompts Evacuations
LAWRENCE (CBS) -- Nearby buildings had to be evacuated after a Newbury Street building collapsed during a planned demolition Wednesday morning, the Lawrence Fire Department said.
Lawrence Mayor Dan Rivera told WBZ-TV the construction company had a permit for the demolition, and that there was no emergency situation.
