Kraft, NFL Hall Of Famers Travel To Israel On Goodwill Mission
FOXBORO (CBS) - One by one 19 Hall of Fame football greats are gearing up for their next big thrill.
Former NFL player Thurman Thomas says, "It's almost like going to the Super Bowl it's really exciting."
From former Patriot greats Mike Haynes, John Hannah and Curtis Martin to Thurman Thomas and broadcaster James Brown. They are packing up and heading out together, thanks to Patriots owner Robert Kraft.
Former Patriots Hall of Famer Mike Haynes says, "I felt like this can't be true. It's unbelievable."
These men and their wives traveled to Israel Tuesday for a trip of a lifetime.
Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Ron Dermer says, "I had this idea that wouldn't it be great to take these players to see an Israel that not everyone sees."
Dermer came up with the idea to bring a little NFL to Israel and Robert Kraft jumped at the chance.
Robert Kraft says, "We found when we present the country to people they come away impressed and their life changes."
Mike Curtis says, "Israel is like a celebrity to me, I feel like I will be star struck over Israel I'm looking forward to going."
Seasoned vets giddy to go and ready to motivate.
Curtis says, "Hopefully we can have some type of inspirational motivation impact on the players over there."
