Keller @ Large: Walsh Wants New Olympic Narrative
BOSTON (CBS) -- Boston Mayor Marty Walsh says the rollout of the city's Olympic bid has been hampered by too many "distractions."
Polls show shrinking support for Boston to host the 2024 summer games, and headlines have focused on the number of paid consultants working to land the Olympics, rather than potential benefits for the city.
"I think there's too many other distractions around the Olympic bid here in Boston," Walsh said on Sunday's Keller @ Large. "We have to bring the narrative back to why I support the Olympic movement in Boston."

Walsh thinks Boston residents are only getting one side of the story, but said there's still time to turn public opinion around.
"Mistakes were made, lessons were learned," he said. "I don't think it's too late for us to continue this narrative in a positive way."
The mayor also discussed expanding a Boston convention center, and whether to ban space savers with WBZ-TV political analyst Jon Keller.
